- The Construction and Renovation project has an extra cost of US$35 per week, while the Healthcare project and Medical Outreach project has an extra cost of US$65 per week. These extra costs cover the supervision, materials and the logistics involved in these projects.

- Recommended spending money: Volunteers in Australia generally find US$200 per week to be sufficient for expenses, such as weekend lunches and all dinners, and local tours and activities.
- Program Fees for the Australia program are non-refundable once inside 30 days of the program start date. Any changes or cancellations within 30 days of the program start date are subject to a US$430 late change/cancellation fee.

- Please note: Volunteers will need to budget an extra US$30 per week for Marine Conservation Park fees, US$30 per week for dive gear rental and a US$50 fuel surcharge.
- Any changes or cancellations within 14 days of your start date are subject to a US$550 late change/cancellation fee.

- If your chosen duration includes the Carnaval festival (scheduled for February 16th - 23rd, 2023) , a one-off surcharge will apply which covers the increase in the cost of accommodation and living in Brazil during Carnaval. For those who will be on the program during this time, a US$350 surcharge will be added to the program fee for the week of February 21st. If your duration finishes on Saturday 18th February, a surcharge of US$100 will apply.

- All programs attract a Registration Fee of US$329 (approximately £276) in addition to the Program Fee. This covers all pre-departure support services. IVHQ fees are priced in USD but you may elect to pay in GBP.
- A 5% international banking fee is added at point of payment.
- Additional things to budget for include: Visa, flights, travel insurance (mandatory), vaccinations and criminal background check.
- Please note: Volunteers staying for 5 weeks or more will need to budget US$400 to obtain a work permit.
- Recommended spending money: Volunteers in Zanzibar generally find US$50-75 per week to be sufficient for expenses.
