All programs attract a Registration Fee of US$329 (approximately AU$529) in addition to the Program Fee. This covers all pre-departure support services. IVHQ fees are priced in USD but you may elect to pay in AUD.
A 5% international banking fee is added at point of payment.
The Construction and Renovation project has an extra cost of US$35 per week, while the Healthcare project and Medical Outreach project has an extra cost of US$65 per week. These extra costs cover the supervision, materials and the logistics involved in these projects.
Additional things to budget for include: Visa, flights, travel insurance (mandatory), vaccinations, criminal background check, lunch and dinner, public transport to and from your placement each day and return to the airport when your program finishes.
Recommended spending money: Volunteers in Buenos Aires generally find US$160 to be sufficient for weekly expenses, including in-country tours and optional Spanish lessons.

Recommended spending money: Volunteers in Australia generally find US$200 per week to be sufficient for expenses, such as weekend lunches and all dinners, and local tours and activities.
Program Fees for the Australia program are non-refundable once inside 30 days of the program start date. Any changes or cancellations within 30 days of the program start date are subject to a US$430 late change/cancellation fee.

If your chosen duration includes the Carnaval festival (scheduled for February 16th - 23rd, 2023) , a one-off surcharge will apply which covers the increase in the cost of accommodation and living in Brazil during Carnaval. For those who will be on the program during this time, a US$350 surcharge will be added to the program fee for the week of February 21st. If your duration finishes on Saturday 18th February, a surcharge of US$100 will apply.

Recommended spending money: Volunteers in South Africa - Kruger generally find US$50-75 per week to be sufficient for expenses, if not joining weekend tours.

The Medical project has an additional surcharge of US$50 per week for additional supervision, materials, and logistics involved. The Animal Welfare and Sustainable Agriculture projects have a one-off surcharge of US$100 which covers costs involved in supervision and transport, and for Animal Welfare, goes directly to the veterinarian volunteers are working with. The Women's Education project has a one-off surcharge of US$80. The Construction and Renovation project has an additional surcharge of US$49 per week which covers supervision, materials and logistics involved with these projects. The Maasai Immersion project has an additional surcharge of US$100 for 2 weeks for additional transportation, logistics involved and a donation to the Maasai village.
Independent volunteers under the age of 18 will have an additional cost of US$80 per week added to their program fee to cover extra logistical support provided by the local team.

The Construction and Renovation project has a surcharge of US$49 per week for additional supervision and materials. The Medical project has a one-off surcharge of US$100 which goes to the Zambian Ministry of Health for use in the public health sector. The Rural Teaching project has a one-off surcharge of US$200 for the additional transport, supervision and logistics involved in this project.
Volunteers staying for longer than 4 weeks will need to budget an extra US$400 (approximately) to obtain a temporary work permit from Zambia Immigration in order to stay up to 90 days.
Additional things to budget for include: Visa, flights, travel insurance (mandatory), vaccinations, criminal background check and return to the airport when your program finishes.
Please note: Volunteers staying for longer than 4 weeks will need to budget an extra US$400 (subject to exchange rate) to obtain a temporary work permit from Zambian Immigration in order to stay up to 90 days.
