The Holiday Club project is designed to keep students engaged during their school holidays and discourage any negative behavior which could occur if young people are left to their own devices during the holidays. Volunteers play an important role in helping to run this project, as the local staff do not have enough numbers to ensure it’s organized and carried out properly.
The school holidays fall in January, March, June, September and December, and during these months, only the Holiday Club project is available in Table View. Volunteers help to arrange and run activities such as mini putt, picnics, hikes, visits to the aquarium, power station or the beach, game days, craft days, baking days and more. There is a whole lot of variety and fun, as the idea is simply to give students fun and productive things to do during their holidays.
It’s important to note that if a holiday club activity requires payment of an entrance fee, you will have to cover this charge as the program covers the entry for the children.
