Sports centers in Santa Elena are popular with up and coming athletes, and provide valuable opportunities for those interested in various aspects of athlete support. On the Sports Healthcare project, volunteers are able to help with a range of medical tasks and treatments in the context of a sporting environment.
You’ll be assisting local trainers and teachers, helping to examine and measure athletes, cure small wounds and diagnose and rehabilitate injuries. You can also support a local sports team to prepare and compete in games and tournaments.
Volunteers can also assist in workshops with topics such as training exercises, nutrition and health. Those with an expertise or interests in a similar field are able to provide assistance in other areas.
This project is well suited to those with an interest in physical therapy, nutrition and sports medicine. Volunteers are required to have a relevant qualification or be in their final year of study in a related field and have an intermediate level of Spanish.Apply now
