This experience has given me so much more than I ever expected. I came back with a new perspective on life, a greater sense of empathy, and memories that will last a lifetime. Taking part in several programs allowed me to truly see the difference we can make, and the bonds I built with the local team, the host family, and fellow volunteers are something I will cherish forever.
To anyone who is hesitating: just do it. Don't overthink it. You will be supported every step of the way by an amazing local team who is always there for you, and welcomed like family by your host family. It is not just a volunteering trip it is a life-changing adventure that will push you out of your comfort zone in the best possible way. A special mention to my host family, who were absolutely incredible. From the very first day, they welcomed me with open arms and made me feel like part of the family. Their kindness, generosity, and warmth made such a difference to my overall experience. Living with them was without a doubt one of the highlights of my time in Morocco!
One piece of advice I would give to anyone staying for a longer period: don't stick to just one program! Taking part in several programs is the best way to maximise your impact, discover different aspects of the local community, and make the most of your time. Each program brings something unique, and the more you do, the richer your experience will be!

I feel that I have a better understanding of the Moroccan culture, I improved my flexibility and my ability to go with the flow, and know that everything works out in the end. Have trust in yourself, in others, and in the process.
