I absolutely loved my time in Ghana. Even though I was only there for a short time, I made many new connections with the local team, my fellow volunteers, and the local community (especially the kids!). I had the opportunity to volunteer at one of the local schools in a rural community. I was testing all of the students and teachers for malaria and providing malaria treatment medication for those who tested positive. It was a great experience. Everyone at the school was so warm and friendly, and it was nice to make a small contribution to the wellbeing of the community. If you're thinking about doing this trip, don't hesitate, just do it! The people are lovely, the accommodation is great, the food is delicious and there are lots of fun activities to do on the weekends if you want to explore the country further. I am grateful for this experience and I would 100% go back and visit Ghana again in the future. Thank you!
