This is a unique project in that your contribution as a construction volunteer is three-fold. Your volunteering assists with construction and renovation tasks, your fees help to pay for materials, and the end product can then be used to host other important community projects.
Volunteers help local building projects that would otherwise not be completed, lending time and funds to see them through to completion. You’ll volunteer under the supervision of local foreman, who provides direction and expertise.
The type of project you’ll work on will depend on local priorities at the time, but could include a variety of buildings, including schools, community centers and clinics. Volunteer work varies but generally consists of renovating, painting and building.
Volunteers don’t need to have experience with construction work, as there will be a qualified supervisor onsite. However, a good attitude, fitness level and willingness to help out where it’s needed are all important.
Please note, the Construction and Renovation project has an extra cost of $75 per week for extra supervision, materials and logistics. This amount will be included in the Program Fee quoted to you by IVHQ when you apply.Apply now
