It’s incredible, you fall in love with the work you are doing, the support you are providing and honestly the place you are living. The people I met were so incredible and I feel so grateful for this experience.

What recent volunteers said about their IVHQ experience
My volunteer experience with IVHQ at the daycare in Kenya was truly life-changing. I gained a deeper understanding of cultural humility, global community, and the resilience and joy of children, even in challenging environments. Working closely with the children and staff reminded me of the power of human connection, and how even small acts of service can have a meaningful impact. It also strengthened my commitment to early childhood education and reinforced the importance of adapting teaching approaches to meet diverse needs.
To anyone hesitant about joining this program, I would say: go with an open heart and a willingness to learn. You don’t have to have all the answers - your presence, support, and effort matter more than you know. Be prepared to be challenged, but also deeply inspired. It’s an opportunity not only to give but to grow.
My volunteer trip to the community in Naivasha, Kenya, was a life-changing experience that broadened my perspective and strengthened my commitment to serving others.
My personal experience in Kenya is something that I will take with me for the rest of my life. Such a great experience in many ways. Had a bunch of fun volunteering and exploring different parts of the country. Would probably not go back as I want to explore more places in the near future with IVHQ.
