IVHQ SDSU Scholarship

Find out about IVHQ Scholarships

Each year, International Volunteer HQ is proud to offer two deserving San Diego State University students the opportunity to contribute to meaningful community projects in one of 40+ destinations through the IVHQ SDSU Volunteer Abroad Scholarship.

The scholarship is open to all students of all Majors who are passionate about supporting sustainable positive change in communities around the world. It’s an opportunity to extend your education, to develop your cross-cultural understanding, and gain valuable international experience to support your personal and professional development.

Recipients have the opportunity to join a 2-week volunteer program with IVHQ, at any time of the year. Students were able select their preferred destination and contribute to a volunteer project of their choosing, provided they can meet any required eligibility criteria.

The IVHQ SDSU scholarships included the IVHQ Registration Fee and Program Fee. Our all-inclusive volunteer programs provide volunteers with comprehensive pre-departure support services and training, as well as in-country program orientations, accommodation, meals and 24/7 in-country support.

Applications for the 2018 scholarship have now closed. Congratulations to Amairani Grover and Tina Munoz who were the two students awarded with the scholarships.

Throughout the year, IVHQ’s Scholarships give multiple recipients the opportunity to experience and contribute to an IVHQ program of their choice for 2 weeks. These scholarships include:

  • Medical Volunteer Abroad Scholarship
  • Travel Blogger Scholarship
  • Volunteer of the Year Scholarship
  • Teach and Volunteer Abroad Scholarship
