To celebrate our 5th birthday and support the fantastic work our volunteers are doing abroad, International Volunteer HQ is happy to introduce our finalists for the inaugural IVHQ Volunteer of the Year Award!

After receiving hundreds of nominations, a panel of ten worthy finalists has been selected and voting for IVHQ Volunteer of the Year will open on March 1, 2013 and close at midnight NZST on March 15, 2013.

Each finalist will receive a monetary award from the IVHQ Fund to donate towards the volunteer’s project and the donation amount will depend on the number of votes the volunteer receives. Over US$10,000 will be awarded and the finalist with the most votes will be awarded with US$5,000 (US$2,500 to donate towards the volunteer’s project and an additional US$2,500 award).
