IVHQ Medical electives in Kenya, volunteer with IVHQ

This was one of the greatest experiences of my life. I have learned so much and I am so grateful for this opportunity. My project was excellent, it was everything I could have hoped for and more. I feel like the doctors and staff appreciated my help, and they did a great job of getting me as involved as possible with the skills I do have. One of my favourite moments was witnessing the birth of a baby girl at my clinic, which was an incredible experience! Jamie Jarett, 22 (Medical Elective in Guatemala)

My house mumma was absolutely incredible. The local staff were amazing and my orientation was very informative. Tanzania was amazing as I could travel and volunteer so easily. I loved my placement more than I can explain. This was definitely the best experience of my life. Lee-Anne Tully, 20 (Medical Elective in Tanzania)

The two week rural placement gave me experience and an opportunity to observe diseases, management strategies, and patient interaction. I was also able to help diagnose and treat certain conditions which may have otherwise be missed or misdiagnosed. I have indeed grown to be more independent appreciate things we take for granted back in our countries, and learn to rough it out and live a simple life. I am extremely grateful for having this opportunity to interact with and serve a very beautiful community in rural Nepal. This is an experience I will never forget. Sumudu Welikumbura, 24 (Medical Volunteer in Nepal)
