We believe that volunteer travel is life-changing and we want to help you set off on the trip of a lifetime. For a limited time, if you register to volunteer abroad on any IVHQ program you’ll automatically go in the draw to win the cost of your flights.

How does it work?

1. Apply for your chosen volunteer abroad program. If you’ve already applied then you’re a step ahead!
2. Confirm your spot by paying your Registration Fee. To be eligible for the chance to win your flights with IVHQ, you will need to register on an IVHQ volunteer abroad program between April 17 and May 1st, 2019.
3. Then you’re automatically added in to the draw to win your flights!

I have already booked my flights, am I eligible?

Yes! If you’ve already made the smart decision to secure your flights through the IVHQ Flights provider and you pay your Registration Fee within the promotion period then you will be eligible to win the flights promotion. If you do win, the cost of your flights to your volunteer program will be refunded to you.

I am registered, should I pay for my flights or wait for the Win Your Flights promotion to be drawn?

Yes, you should book your flights. As a general rule, the more organized you are, the cheaper your airfare will be so once you’re confirmed on your volunteer program then we recommend booking through IVHQ Flights as soon as you can. That way if you’re not the winner of the flights promotion, you’ll still have secured the best flight price possible. And, if you are the lucky recipient of the Win Your Flights promotion and have booked through IVHQ Flights, we will refund the cost of your airfares up to the value of US$1,000.

What if I pay my Registration Fee in April and my program start date is also in April?

If that’s the case you will need to organize booking your flights as soon as possible. If you book your flights through IVHQ Flights you will still be eligible for the Win Your Flights promotion and if you’re selected as the winner the cost of your airfares up to US$1,000 will be refunded to you.

Does the ‘Win Your Flights’ prize have to be used for IVHQ flights?

Yes. A Flight Credit valued at US$1,000 (“Flight Credit”) must be put towards flights booked via IVHQ Flights to participate on the IVHQ Program that the winner paid their Registration Fee for.

So how do I book my airfares with IVHQ Flights?

Once you have registered for an IVHQ program, simply request a quote using the booking tool in your MyIVHQ Profile. We work with a team of expert humanitarian flight agents to make the process of booking your volunteer trip easy and budget-friendly.

Does the Flight Credit expire?

The prize winner must travel and begin their IVHQ Program before May 1st, 2020 and the flight booking must be confirmed with IVHQ Flights before October 31st, 2019.

Do I have to travel directly to my IVHQ program?

Yes. Flights must be the most direct route to the IVHQ Program destination. Additional layovers or transport costs are at the winner’s sole discretion and expense.

Can I use the flights for personal travel?

No. The Flight Credit is to be put towards return flights from the winner’s country of residence to the IVHQ Program destination.

Do I lose my Flight Credit if I have to cancel my volunteer program?

The prize winner must travel and begin their IVHQ Program before May 1st, 2020 and the flight booking must be confirmed with IVHQ Flights before October 31st, 2019. If the winner is, for whatever reason, unable to confirm the booking before October 31st, 2019 or travel before May 1st, 2020, whether the failure was due to reasons beyond the winner’s control or otherwise, then the winner will forfeit the prize.

I’m traveling with a friend/family member can we use half of it? Or can I gift it to a friend?

No. The Flight Credit can only be used by the winner and cannot be transferred to, or used by, another person.

Can I redeem my voucher for cash?

No. The Flight Credit cannot be refunded, transferred, substituted or redeemed for cash.

Is travel insurance included?

No. The winner will be responsible for covering all other costs associated with traveling to and from the IVHQ Program, including but not limited to flights (for any amount over the US$1,000 Flight Credit), travel insurance, visas, vaccinations, criminal background check and spending money.

I’m already registered, can I enter the draw?

No, but you can register for another program which will enter you into the draw. And, as a returning volunteer you will receive 10 percent off your Registration Fee.

If I am registered for 2 programs will I be entered twice?

Yes. Every Registration Fee is an entry into the Win Your Flights promotion.
