What Volunteering Projects is Jess Supporting?
Projects in Hua Hin, Thailand
Dedicated to helping children’s development and passing on valuable English language skills to local communities in Thailand, Jess will be volunteering on the Childcare project.
By joining her, you will support local teachers in kindergartens and children's development centers by assisting in classrooms with children aged 2 to 5. Due to teacher shortages—sometimes with up to 30 children per class—your presence ensures more individualized attention and improves the children's exposure to English, boosting their confidence and opening doors to employment opportunities in the country booming tourism industry.

Advocating to enrich young minds, Jess will be volunteering in Childcare projects in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam!
Join Jess as she works closely with local kindergartens to help support and educate the minds of disadvantaged children in low-income areas in Ho Chi Minh City.

About Jess Chadwick
Hi there! I’m Jess Chadwick, and I believe in traveling with a purpose. Come and join me as I travel and volunteer across Asia, making a difference in communities that need help.
In 2009, my sister, Georgina, decided to go on a volunteering trip with IVHQ in Kenya. She joined the Childcare program for 13 weeks. When she came home, she talked about all the great things she’d experienced during her trip to Kenya. This sparked a light in me and pushed me to do the same.
Since then, I’ve volunteered with IVHQ in Ghana, Tanzania, South Africa and Zambia, immersing myself in fantastic local initiatives supporting care for disadvantaged children. I had such a great time!
In October 2025 I will be volunteering again with IVHQ in Thailand and then Vietnam in November 2025. I'm excited to now venture to Asia and welcome my next group trip!

Program fees vary by duration. You can join Jess for as little as one week in one country or multiple weeks across one or both destinations. Your program fee covers accommodation, transport to and from your volunteer placement each day*, meals, airport pick-up, and 24/7 in-country support.
*Transport is covered for only some projects in Vietnam.
In addition to the program fees below, there is a separate registration fee starting from $329. This will secure your place in the program and cover all pre-departure support.
If you plan to register for both programs, you can enjoy a $100 discount on your second registration.

When you apply to travel and volunteer with Jess, you will be registering for the same dates and volunteer program as the UK responsible travel influencer, Jess Chadwick.
IVHQ organizes everything for you, including:

To ensure safety, we have dedicated local teams for all our programs to guide and help our volunteers have a safe volunteering experience. You will be staying with Jess Chadwick in the volunteer houses for Thailand and Vietnam.
Accommodation in Thailand:
- You will be housed in a dormitory-style volunteer house, nestled in the hills of Prachuap Khiri Khan province. The house has multiple bedrooms and comfortably sleeps 8 people/room
- The rooms are separated by gender, and each room has its own western bathroom attached
- The accommodation has a pool and has WiFi access
- Each room has A/C to keep you comfortable
- Bedding is provided
- The accommodation is very safe and is in secure locked compound
- Curfew from 10pm to 7am to ensure volunteer safety
Accommodation in Vietnam:
- Volunteers are accommodated in dormitory-style volunteer apartment at a tourism college, which is a 30-minute drive from the tourist area of Ho Chi Minh City
- Volunteers can expect to share a room with up to 8 other volunteers of the same gender, all sleeping in bunk beds
- Air-conditioning is in each room and bedding is provided
- WiFi is available in the volunteer dormitory, however the connection can be slow so we recommend bringing an unlocked mobile phone and purchasing a local SIM card when you arrive in Vietnam. The local team can assist you with this during your program orientation.
- Rooftop hang-out area to socialize with an epic view of the city
- A pool is 100m from the volunteer accommodation which volunteers can use for less than US$5
- A curfew of 11.30pm to 5am to ensure volunteer safety

Jess will be participating in Childcare with IVHQ. You are welcome to join other programs in the same location, so you still get to meet, spend time, and interact with her in the same volunteer house.
Vaccinations and similar items can vary depending on your chosen destination and your specific travel plans. Before you depart, IVHQ will provide you with a comprehensive Program Guide detailing all the items you must bring and a list of recommended vaccinations you may wish to secure before your trip to Thailand or Vietnam.
Volunteers attending the Vietnam and Thailand Programs must be 16 years old and above to qualify. Volunteers aged 16-18 are required to provide IVHQ with parental consent to participate in the program and may be asked to provide additional documentation to the local team.
As IVHQ supports volunteers from all over the world, we do not organize your flights.
You will be responsible for booking and securing your travel to the destination, including visa fees, plane tickets, travel insurance, vaccinations, and other travel requirements for your destination.

Over 70% of our volunteers are solo travelers, and most are volunteering for the first time, so you won’t have to worry about doing the program alone.
