If you’d like to arrive a day earlier than your recommended arrival date, or stay a couple of extra nights after your program finishes, we can usually arrange extra accommodation for you (meals included), depending on availability. Extra nights are in our standard homestay accommodations, in shared rooms separated by gender. Please note the cost is per person, per night.

The local team will always try to keep you in the same place you’re staying during your program, but this can’t be guaranteed.

  • Extra nights before your program: you should expect to stay in a Nairobi homestay where volunteers stay before orientation.
  • Extra nights after your program: you should expect to stay in the same homestay you were in while on your project.

So a little flexibility is important - we’ll do our best, but plans can shift based on what’s available.

  • As per our terms and conditions, if cancelled, add-ons are non-refundable once payment has been made, but may be held as a credit on a case by case basis depending on the cancellation terms of the local team.
