You can choose one of the following 10 hour guided tours:

Punilla Valley - Start by visiting La Calera, a hydroelectric power plant, and San Roque Lake, the oldest reservoir in the province. Then pass through Bialet Massé and Santa María de Punilla until you reach Cosquín, the National Capital of Folklore. Continue through Valle Hermoso to La Falda, where you will cross the classic Av. Eden. You will then cross Huerta Grande and Villa Giardino to arrive at Capilladel Monte, at the foot of the mystical Uritorco hill, where you will see the original roofed street, the El Zapato complex and the El Cajón dam. You will then continue visiting Los Cocos (optional Aerosilla ascent) Cruz Grande, Cruz Chica and La Cumbre, with their stately European-style mansions, arriving in the late afternoon at Villa Carlos Paz.

Traslasierra Valley - Pass through the picturesque towns of Villa Carlos Paz, San Antonio de Arredondo, Mayú Sumaj, Icho Cruz and Cuesta Blanca. You will then begin to walk the Camino de las Altas Cumbres, enjoying it's impressive panoramic views and visiting different points along the way, such as the Lágrimadel Indio waterfall, the Fundación el Cóndor, the Pampa de Achala and the source of the Mina Clavero river. You will then arrive at Mina Clavero, where you will visit the Elefantes spa and the shopping center. In Villa Cura Brochero you will pass by the church where the remembered Cura Gaucho preached. You will then continue through Nono, spotting the typical Ñuños hills and touring the Rocsen Multifaceted Museum. You will then return to Córdoba along the Bosque Alegre road, with views of the earth station and the national observatory.

Alta Gracia and Villa Carlos Paz - Pass by the monument of Miryam Stefford while heading to Alta Gracia, where you will see the most important testimonies of it's rich cultural heritage: the Tajamar, an old artificial lake built by the Jesuits, the Alta Gracia Jesuit Estancia (Historical Museum Casa del Virrey Liniers), the Church of Nuestra Señora de la Merced, the house where Ernesto “Che” Guevara lived his childhood, the museum of the famous musical composer Manuel de Falla and the Grotto of the Virgin of Lourdes. In the afternoon you will go to Villa Carlos Paz, the most important tourist centre in the province, where you will visit it's shopping centre and residential neighbourhoods; and visit the classic Cu-Cu clock, an alfajores factory and the Aerosilla complex (optional ascent). You will then return to Córdoba via the Justiniano Allende Posse Highway.

La Cumbrecita  - Pass by the monument of Myriam Stefford, Alta Gracia, Anisacate, La Bolsa and Villa Ciudad de América. You will then continue the route crossing the four tributary rivers of Lake Los Molinos and the towns of Potrero de Garay and Los Reartes. From there you will ascend through the Sierras Grandes, crossing a picturesque region of coniferous forests. You will pass through Villa Berna and arrive at La Cumbrecita, a small alpine-style town that has the uniqueness of being one of the few pedestrian towns in the world. You will also visit the La Olla spa, the traditional La Cumbrecita hotel and the ecumenical chapel. Then you get to know Villa General Belgrano, with its particular Central European physiognomy. Return to Córdoba via the Curve of the Wind, enjoying a spectacular panoramic view of the lake and Los Molinos Dam.

Jesuit Estancias - Start by visiting Colonia Caroya, a town inhabited by descendants of immigrants from northern Italy and famous for its artisan salamis. There you will visit the Casa de Caroya Jesuit Estancia, which serves as a summer residence for the students of the Monserrat school. Then you will visit Jesús María, famous for its Horse Training and Folklore Festival, where the San Isidro Labrador Jesuit Estancia is located, a pioneer in wine making in the region. You will continue visiting the historic Posta de Sinsacate and the area of Barranca Yaco, where the caudillo Facundo Quiroga was assassinated, to then arrive at the Estancia de Santa Catalina, recognised for the beauty of its baroque church. You will continue bordering the Sierras Chicas, passing through the picturesque towns of Ascochinga, La Granja, Villa Animi, Agua de Oro, Salsipuedes and Río Ceballos.

Calamuchita Wine Roads - The Calamuchita Valley offers dreamlike landscapes where the imposing mountain ranges are combined with green valleys. In this environment you will visit several family businesses where high quality, healthy and natural wines are produced while getting to know the history of each wine project and the people who carry it out. This is a great experience for those who want to discover a new place with all of their senses, enjoy good company and learn more about the fascinating world of wine.

You can choose one of the following 4 hour guided tours:

City Tour -  Visit the most important points of the city: the Historic Foundational Center, made up of Plaza San Martín, the Cabildo and the Cathedral; the Civic Center, the Palace of Justice, the Plaza Italia, the La Cañada stream and the Plaza de la Intendencia. You will then pass by the Libertador General San Martín Theater and enter the student neighbourhood of Nueva Córdoba where you will visit the Iglesia de los Capuchinos. Continue through the Sarmiento Park, the Government House and the University City. You will also observe the monument to the “Urban Man”, and border the Suquía River Coast, arriving at the popular Alberdi neighbourhood. From there Av. Colón will take you to the Córdoba Olympic Stadium, the Fair Complex, the Free University of the Environment and the City's Botanical Garden. You will then cross the river and enter the elegant Barrio del Cerro de Las Rosas, where you will see the monument to the "Urban Woman", Av. Rafael Nuñez and the viewpoint of the Parque Autóctono.

Sierras Chicas - Visit La Calera, a town that keeps historical monuments such as the Old Chapel and the Double Mill. Pass through the Mal Paso Dam and visit a series of picturesque towns that follow one another at the foot of the Sierras Chicas mountain range: Saldán, Villa Allende, famous for its Golf Club, Mendiolaza and Unquillo, chosen by numerous plastic artists as their place of residence and inspiration. You will then arrive at Río Ceballos, a traditional tourist centre located at the foot of the ÑuPora hill, to which you will ascend to appreciate the carving of Christ on its top and enjoy a spectacular panoramic view. Finally you will visit the Quebrada Dam, Provincial Water Reserve before returning to Córdoba.

Northern Wine Trail - Wine arrived in Córdoba from the hand of the Jesuits. At the beginning of the 16th century, the wine populated the ground of the Jesús María ranch, near Colonia Caroya, 54 km from the capital of Córdoba. In the 19th century, immigrants who arrived in the province from Italian Friuli bought with them their own customs and traditions, which lead to a type of artisan wine production that was based on non-traditional wines such as the raspberry grape. Since then, regional wines have been produced there that are part of the Cordovan identity and cultural heritage. The intensity of its flavour is enhanced by that of the cured meats, sausages and cheeses from Colonia Caroya, where most of the local wine production is concentrated.

Day 1: Buenos Aires. Arrive at any time.

Today's activities:
  • Meet your CEO and group: Your opportunity to meet your CEO and fellow travellers, and learn more about your tour. Opt to join the group for a local meal afterwards. Don't forget to see the notice in the lobby (or ask reception) for the official time and place to meet up with the group.
Pre nights are recommended to fully enjoy this vibrant city and take part in the optional activities available.


Day 2: Buenos Aires/Foz do Iguaçu. Fly to Iguassu (Argentinean Side) of the falls and visit the Jasy Pora community in the lush Misiones rainforest region. Guided by a local expert, learn more about this Indigenous community and their harmonious relationship to the environment. Afterwards, cross the border into Brazil by private vehicle and witness amazing panoramic views of the falls. Spend the next two full days exploring the area around the falls.

  • Plane: Buenos Aires - Puerto Iguazú, 1 hour and 30 minutes. Head to the airport and fly north to the Argentine side of Iguassu Falls. Continue on to the border via private vehicle from there.
  • Guaraní Community Experience: Experience a unique visit to the Jasy Pora community in the morning. Guided by a local Guaraní expert, the group will explore the lush Misiones rainforest and experience a deeper connection to nature. Learn more about the traditional uses of flora and fauna, the Indigenous language, and the importance of a harmonious relationship with the environment through sustainable practices.
  • Border Crossing (Argentina - Brazil): Puerto Iguazú - Foz do Iguaçu. Ready for a little more ink in your passport? Grab your bags and get ready to check another country off your bucket list.
  • Private Vehicle: Puerto Iguazú - Foz do Iguaçu, 1 hour. Climb aboard and drive to the Brazilian side of Iguassu Falls for a little exploration.
  • Iguassu Falls (Brazil Side) Guided Tour: Visit the Brazil side of the falls to get a panoramic view of Iguaçu, one of the world's largest and most impressive waterfalls. In total, there are over 275 individual falls spread out over 3km (2 mi). Find the best spot to take jaw-dropping photos of this UNESCO World Heritage site.
The luggage restrictions for all Aerolineas Argentinas flights are 15kg for checked baggage and 5kg for carry-ons.


Day 3: Foz do Iguaçu. Return to the Argentine side to explore the trails. Opt for a boat tour to get a close look at the falls. Return to the Brazilian side for one more night in town.

  • Iguassu Falls Visit: Spend the whole day on the Argentine side of Iguassu, exploring the paths over the falls or experience the UNESCO World Heritage site from a boat tour. Tours utilize trails and catwalks adapted to the landscape of the area, and walking is easy for all ages; guided tours of the complex are available several times a day.
  • Border Crossing (Argentina - Brazil): Puerto Iguazú - Foz do Iguaçu. Ready for a little more ink in your passport? Grab your bags and get ready to check another country off your bucket list.

Day 4: Foz do Iguaçu/Paraty. Fly to São Paulo and continue by van to Paraty. Wander the cobblestoned streets and shops of this gorgeous coastal town and its historical centre, designated as a UNESCO world heritage site.

Today's activities:
  • Plane: Foz do Iguaçu - São Paulo, 1 hour and 30 minutes. An early morning flight gets you Paraty with plenty of time to explore.
  • Shared Van: São Paulo - Paraty, 5 hours. Enjoy the drive to São Paulo, stopping for lunch along the way.

Day 5: Paraty. Enjoy a free day to explore Paraty. Opt to visit the cachaça distilleries or take a boat into the bay to explore the nearby islands and beaches.

  • Free Time: Your trip is just that – yours. Want to linger at the market or grab a table at that cozy café? Consider it done. We give your trip structure and direction, but you decide what you want to do with it on your free days.

Day 6: Paraty/Ilha Grande. Continue by van up the coast and take a ferry to Ilha Grande. Opt to hike to remote beaches and enjoy free time to relax and explore the island.

Today's activities:
  • Shared Van: Paraty - Angra dos Reis, 1 hour and 30 minutes. Climb aboard and make friends with your seatmate en route to the next stop.
  • Ferry: Angra dos Reis - Ilha Grande, 1 hour and 30 minutes. Get to the next spot on your route aboard a convenient and efficient ferry boat.
The Brazilian government has implemented the Taxa de Turismo Sustentável (Sustainable Tourism Tax), effective May 5, 2026. You will be required to pay this fee directly when traveling through Angra dos Reis en route to Ilha Grande. Payment in the amount of 55 BRL (approximately 11 USD) can be made online in advance on the Viva Angra website or on site via QR code at the Port of Angra dos Reis before boarding the ferry. Please be aware that this fee must be covered directly by travellers prior to embarkation of the ferry.


Day 7: Ilha Grande. Enjoy a free day in Ilha Grande. Optional activities include hiking Pico Do Papagaio or to Lopes Mendes, snorkelling or relaxing on the beach.

  • Shared Van: Angra dos Reis - Rio de Janeiro, 3 hours. Enjoy the incredible scenery before rounding the cliffs at Vidigal. Get your first look at one of the most memorable cities in the world—Río de Janeiro.
  • Free Time: Use your free time in Rio to start your exploration of this world-class city.

Day 9: Rio de Janeiro. Depart at any time.

Trek through the crisp air of El Chaltén (with its crazy beautiful Fitz Roy mountain) and then to the area near the imposing Perito Moreno Glacier. Itinerary:


Day 1: Buenos Aires. Arrive at any time. 

Accommodation: Up America Plaza (or similar) - Hotel

Today's activities:
  • Meet your CEO and group: Your opportunity to meet your CEO and fellow travellers, and learn more about your tour. Don't forget to see the notice in the lobby (or ask reception) for the official time and place to meet up with the group.
Booking pre or post trip accommodation is highly recommended to fully experience this vibrant city.


Day 2: Buenos Aires/El Chaltén. Enjoy an early transfer to the airport to fly to El Calafate and continue by private vehicle to El Chaltén and Los Glaciares National Park. En route marvel at the towering Andean mountains. Enjoy some free time in the town or head out on a short hike.

Meals included: Breakfast 
Accommodation: Fitz Roy Inn (or similar) - Hotel

Today's activities:
  • Plane: Buenos Aires - El Calafate, 3 hours and 30 minutes. Trade the urban pulse of Buenos Aires for the raw grandeur of Patagonia as you fly south to El Calafate.
  • Private Vehicle: El Calafate - El Chaltén, 3 hours. Climb aboard, grab a seat, and enjoy the ride on your private transportation.
  • Free Time: Head out into the national park and start exploring beautiful Patagonia.
The luggage restrictions for all Aerolineas Argentinas flights are 15kg (33 lbs) for checked baggage and 8kg (17 lbs) for carry-ons. No organic food is allowed as Patagonia is a protected area. Bags will be checked upon arrival in El Calafate.


Day 3: El Chaltén. Enjoy a full-day guided hike to the Loma del Pliegue Tumbado viewpoint for spectacular 360° views. Unlike other trails, this trek doesn't descend into a valley; instead, it climbs to provide one of the most breathtaking panoramic views of the entire El Chaltén region. This trek takes you along one of the less-traveled trails in the National Park, offering unparalleled panoramic views.

Today's activities:
  • Loma del Pliegue Tumbado Guided Hike: Enjoy a full day of hiking in Los Glaciares National Park. Hike to the Loma del Pliegue Tumbado viewpoint to fully appreciate the majestic Cerro Fitz Roy and Cerro Torre, the extensive Patagonian steppe, and the impressive Lago Viedma. The Loma del Pliegue Tumbado is a chain of three round rocky peaks at 1,340m (4,396 ft), 1,420m (4,659 ft), and 1,550m (5,085 ft). On its northern flank runs the Fitz Roy River and on the south is the Túnel River. Continuing west, you reach the impressive Cerro Solo.
    Distance travelled: 18.8 km / 11.7 miles
    Duration: 9 hours
    Elevation gain: 1,132m (3,714 ft.)
    Terrain: some portions of the trail can be quite steep with loose rocks, boulders, and soil.
    This trail features a continuous ascent of approximately 1,100 meters (3,610 feet), culminating at a viewpoint around 1,500 meters (4,920 feet) above sea level. Due to its elevation, lack of tree cover, and full exposure to wind, a windproof jacket and warm clothing are essential. Even in mid-summer, light snowfall is not uncommon.
    Please take the following into account: The last 500 meters to the summit are very exposed to wind and cold, and the terrain is somewhat unstable. However, this is the point that offers the true 360-degree view. If we have an experienced group, they might discuss attempting the approach with the guide. I would recommend marking the viewpoint sign as the arrival point, where the views are absolutely panoramic and conditions are safe.
    This trek offers views of these mountains from their south/southeast side, a unique perspective compared to the typical east-side views. While most hikers head to Laguna Torre or Laguna de los Tres for mountain vistas, the views from here are truly unforgettable.

Day 4: El Chaltén. Enjoy a full-day guided hike to Laguna de los Tres and if the weather cooperates, a clear view of the Fitz Roy peaks. En route, take in the gradual changes in terrain from tree covered trails to exposed alpine landscapes.

Today's activities:
  • Los Glaciares National Park Guided Hike: Enjoy a full day of hiking in Los Glaciares National Park. See granite pinnacles spiraling upward from the third largest ice field on earth. Hike to Laguna de los Tres to fully appreciate majestic Cerro Fitz Roy/Chaltén (3,441m/11,290 ft) – one of the most famous and popular viewpoints of the mountain.
    Distance travelled: 24km/15 miles.
    Duration: 10 hours.
    Elevation gain: 1040m (3412 ft.)
    Terrain: some portions of the trail can be quite steep with lose rocks, boulders, and soil.

Day 5: El Chaltén/El Calafate. Explore one of El Chalten's many trekking routes. Opt to explore the Laguna Torre trail to spot the dramatic Cerro Torre, hike to Chorrillo del Salto Waterfall, or head up to the Condor Mirador to enjoy great views of the town. Afterwards, head to the quaint little town of El Calafate, and opt for a hearty dinner to refuel.

Today's activities:
  • Free Time: Explore the region by foot and hike one of the many trails around El Chaltén.
  • Private Vehicle: El Chalten - El Calafate, 3 hours. Climb aboard, grab a seat, and enjoy the ride on our private transportation.

Day 6: El Calafate. Travel to Perito Moreno Glacier for an included guided tour. Opt to take a boat ride on the lake to get a different view of the stunning landscape and marvel at how large the glacier is up close. Explore the different metallic walkways that will bring you directly to a spectacular view over the glacier and be amazed by every angle.

Meals included: Breakfast

Today's activities:
  • Perito Moreno Glacier Tour: Get out there and explore the natural wonder that is the Perito Moreno Glacier, one of the world's few "advancing" glaciers. Head to the southern end of Los Glaciares National Park, where Moreno's 60m (197 ft) wall of ice sporadically chokes off the narrow "Canal de los Tempanos" (Iceberg Channel) creating a natural ice dam, which eventually explodes in a dynamic display of force. Please note this tour does not include walking on top of the glacier.

Day 7: El Calafate. Enjoy free time, take a leisurely hike to Laguna Nimez, explore the souvenir shops and restaurants in town, choose to experience a full-day ranch experience, or opt to go on an adventure activity in the Patagonian landscape.

  • Free Time: Enjoy free time to explore town and the surrounding area.

Day 8: El Calafate/Buenos Aires. Fly back to the vibrant city of Buenos Aires.

You can choose one of the following 10 hour guided tours:

Punilla Valley - Start by visiting La Calera, a hydroelectric power plant, and San Roque Lake, the oldest reservoir in the province. Then pass through Bialet Massé and Santa María de Punilla until you reach Cosquín, the National Capital of Folklore. Continue through Valle Hermoso to La Falda, where you will cross the classic Av. Eden. You will then cross Huerta Grande and Villa Giardino to arrive at Capilladel Monte, at the foot of the mystical Uritorco hill, where you will see the original roofed street, the El Zapato complex and the El Cajón dam. You will then continue visiting Los Cocos (optional Aerosilla ascent) Cruz Grande, Cruz Chica and La Cumbre, with their stately European-style mansions, arriving in the late afternoon at Villa Carlos Paz.

Traslasierra Valley - Pass through the picturesque towns of Villa Carlos Paz, San Antonio de Arredondo, Mayú Sumaj, Icho Cruz and Cuesta Blanca. You will then begin to walk the Camino de las Altas Cumbres, enjoying it's impressive panoramic views and visiting different points along the way, such as the Lágrimadel Indio waterfall, the Fundación el Cóndor, the Pampa de Achala and the source of the Mina Clavero river. You will then arrive at Mina Clavero, where you will visit the Elefantes spa and the shopping center. In Villa Cura Brochero you will pass by the church where the remembered Cura Gaucho preached. You will then continue through Nono, spotting the typical Ñuños hills and touring the Rocsen Multifaceted Museum. You will then return to Córdoba along the Bosque Alegre road, with views of the earth station and the national observatory.

Alta Gracia and Villa Carlos Paz - Pass by the monument of Miryam Stefford while heading to Alta Gracia, where you will see the most important testimonies of it's rich cultural heritage: the Tajamar, an old artificial lake built by the Jesuits, the Alta Gracia Jesuit Estancia (Historical Museum Casa del Virrey Liniers), the Church of Nuestra Señora de la Merced, the house where Ernesto “Che” Guevara lived his childhood, the museum of the famous musical composer Manuel de Falla and the Grotto of the Virgin of Lourdes. In the afternoon you will go to Villa Carlos Paz, the most important tourist centre in the province, where you will visit it's shopping centre and residential neighbourhoods; and visit the classic Cu-Cu clock, an alfajores factory and the Aerosilla complex (optional ascent). You will then return to Córdoba via the Justiniano Allende Posse Highway.

La Cumbrecita  - Pass by the monument of Myriam Stefford, Alta Gracia, Anisacate, La Bolsa and Villa Ciudad de América. You will then continue the route crossing the four tributary rivers of Lake Los Molinos and the towns of Potrero de Garay and Los Reartes. From there you will ascend through the Sierras Grandes, crossing a picturesque region of coniferous forests. You will pass through Villa Berna and arrive at La Cumbrecita, a small alpine-style town that has the uniqueness of being one of the few pedestrian towns in the world. You will also visit the La Olla spa, the traditional La Cumbrecita hotel and the ecumenical chapel. Then you get to know Villa General Belgrano, with its particular Central European physiognomy. Return to Córdoba via the Curve of the Wind, enjoying a spectacular panoramic view of the lake and Los Molinos Dam.

Jesuit Estancias - Start by visiting Colonia Caroya, a town inhabited by descendants of immigrants from northern Italy and famous for its artisan salamis. There you will visit the Casa de Caroya Jesuit Estancia, which serves as a summer residence for the students of the Monserrat school. Then you will visit Jesús María, famous for its Horse Training and Folklore Festival, where the San Isidro Labrador Jesuit Estancia is located, a pioneer in wine making in the region. You will continue visiting the historic Posta de Sinsacate and the area of Barranca Yaco, where the caudillo Facundo Quiroga was assassinated, to then arrive at the Estancia de Santa Catalina, recognised for the beauty of its baroque church. You will continue bordering the Sierras Chicas, passing through the picturesque towns of Ascochinga, La Granja, Villa Animi, Agua de Oro, Salsipuedes and Río Ceballos.

Calamuchita Wine Roads - The Calamuchita Valley offers dreamlike landscapes where the imposing mountain ranges are combined with green valleys. In this environment you will visit several family businesses where high quality, healthy and natural wines are produced while getting to know the history of each wine project and the people who carry it out. This is a great experience for those who want to discover a new place with all of their senses, enjoy good company and learn more about the fascinating world of wine.

You can choose one of the following 4 hour guided tours:

City Tour -  Visit the most important points of the city: the Historic Foundational Center, made up of Plaza San Martín, the Cabildo and the Cathedral; the Civic Center, the Palace of Justice, the Plaza Italia, the La Cañada stream and the Plaza de la Intendencia. You will then pass by the Libertador General San Martín Theater and enter the student neighbourhood of Nueva Córdoba where you will visit the Iglesia de los Capuchinos. Continue through the Sarmiento Park, the Government House and the University City. You will also observe the monument to the “Urban Man”, and border the Suquía River Coast, arriving at the popular Alberdi neighbourhood. From there Av. Colón will take you to the Córdoba Olympic Stadium, the Fair Complex, the Free University of the Environment and the City's Botanical Garden. You will then cross the river and enter the elegant Barrio del Cerro de Las Rosas, where you will see the monument to the "Urban Woman", Av. Rafael Nuñez and the viewpoint of the Parque Autóctono.

Sierras Chicas - Visit La Calera, a town that keeps historical monuments such as the Old Chapel and the Double Mill. Pass through the Mal Paso Dam and visit a series of picturesque towns that follow one another at the foot of the Sierras Chicas mountain range: Saldán, Villa Allende, famous for its Golf Club, Mendiolaza and Unquillo, chosen by numerous plastic artists as their place of residence and inspiration. You will then arrive at Río Ceballos, a traditional tourist centre located at the foot of the ÑuPora hill, to which you will ascend to appreciate the carving of Christ on its top and enjoy a spectacular panoramic view. Finally you will visit the Quebrada Dam, Provincial Water Reserve before returning to Córdoba.

Northern Wine Trail - Wine arrived in Córdoba from the hand of the Jesuits. At the beginning of the 16th century, the wine populated the ground of the Jesús María ranch, near Colonia Caroya, 54 km from the capital of Córdoba. In the 19th century, immigrants who arrived in the province from Italian Friuli bought with them their own customs and traditions, which lead to a type of artisan wine production that was based on non-traditional wines such as the raspberry grape. Since then, regional wines have been produced there that are part of the Cordovan identity and cultural heritage. The intensity of its flavour is enhanced by that of the cured meats, sausages and cheeses from Colonia Caroya, where most of the local wine production is concentrated.

Day 1: Buenos Aires. Arrive at any time.

Today's activities:
  • Meet your CEO and group: Your opportunity to meet your CEO and fellow travellers, and learn more about your tour. Opt to join the group for a local meal afterwards. Don't forget to see the notice in the lobby (or ask reception) for the official time and place to meet up with the group.
Pre nights are recommended to fully enjoy this vibrant city and take part in the optional activities available.


Day 2: Buenos Aires/Foz do Iguaçu. Fly to Iguassu (Argentinean Side) of the falls and visit the Jasy Pora community in the lush Misiones rainforest region. Guided by a local expert, learn more about this Indigenous community and their harmonious relationship to the environment. Afterwards, cross the border into Brazil by private vehicle and witness amazing panoramic views of the falls. Spend the next two full days exploring the area around the falls.

  • Plane: Buenos Aires - Puerto Iguazú, 1 hour and 30 minutes. Head to the airport and fly north to the Argentine side of Iguassu Falls. Continue on to the border via private vehicle from there.
  • Guaraní Community Experience: Experience a unique visit to the Jasy Pora community in the morning. Guided by a local Guaraní expert, the group will explore the lush Misiones rainforest and experience a deeper connection to nature. Learn more about the traditional uses of flora and fauna, the Indigenous language, and the importance of a harmonious relationship with the environment through sustainable practices.
  • Border Crossing (Argentina - Brazil): Puerto Iguazú - Foz do Iguaçu. Ready for a little more ink in your passport? Grab your bags and get ready to check another country off your bucket list.
  • Private Vehicle: Puerto Iguazú - Foz do Iguaçu, 1 hour. Climb aboard and drive to the Brazilian side of Iguassu Falls for a little exploration.

Day 4: Foz do Iguaçu/Paraty. Fly to São Paulo and continue by van to Paraty. Wander the cobblestoned streets and shops of this gorgeous coastal town and its historical centre, designated as a UNESCO world heritage site.

  • Plane: Foz do Iguaçu - São Paulo, 1 hour and 30 minutes. An early morning flight gets you Paraty with plenty of time to explore.
  • Shared Van: São Paulo - Paraty, 5 hours. Enjoy the drive to São Paulo, stopping for lunch along the way.

Day 5: Paraty. Enjoy a free day to explore Paraty. Opt to visit the cachaça distilleries or take a boat into the bay to explore the nearby islands and beaches.

The Brazilian government has implemented the Taxa de Turismo Sustentável (Sustainable Tourism Tax), effective May 5, 2026. You will be required to pay this fee directly when traveling through Angra dos Reis en route to Ilha Grande. Payment in the amount of 55 BRL (approximately 11 USD) can be made online in advance on the Viva Angra website or on site via QR code at the Port of Angra dos Reis before boarding the ferry. Please be aware that this fee must be covered directly by travellers prior to embarkation of the ferry.


Day 7: Ilha Grande. Enjoy a free day in Ilha Grande. Optional activities include hiking Pico Do Papagaio or to Lopes Mendes, snorkelling or relaxing on the beach.

Day 1: Buenos Aires. Arrive at any time.

  • Meet your CEO and group: Your opportunity to meet your CEO and fellow travellers, and learn more about your tour. Don't forget to see the notice in the lobby (or ask reception) for the official time and place to meet up with the group.

Day 2: Buenos Aires/El Chaltén. Enjoy an early transfer to the airport to fly to El Calafate and continue by private vehicle to El Chaltén and Los Glaciares National Park. En route marvel at the towering Andean mountains. Enjoy some free time in the town or head out on a short hike.

  • Plane: Buenos Aires - El Calafate, 3 hours and 30 minutes. Trade the urban pulse of Buenos Aires for the raw grandeur of Patagonia as you fly south to El Calafate.
  • Private Vehicle: El Calafate - El Chaltén, 3 hours. Climb aboard, grab a seat, and enjoy the ride on your private transportation.
  • Free Time: Head out into the national park and start exploring beautiful Patagonia.

Day 3: El Chaltén. Enjoy a full-day guided hike to the Loma del Pliegue Tumbado viewpoint for spectacular 360° views. Unlike other trails, this trek doesn't descend into a valley; instead, it climbs to provide one of the most breathtaking panoramic views of the entire El Chaltén region. This trek takes you along one of the less-traveled trails in the National Park, offering unparalleled panoramic views.

  • Loma del Pliegue Tumbado Guided Hike: Enjoy a full day of hiking in Los Glaciares National Park. Hike to the Loma del Pliegue Tumbado viewpoint to fully appreciate the majestic Cerro Fitz Roy and Cerro Torre, the extensive Patagonian steppe, and the impressive Lago Viedma. The Loma del Pliegue Tumbado is a chain of three round rocky peaks at 1,340m (4,396 ft), 1,420m (4,659 ft), and 1,550m (5,085 ft). On its northern flank runs the Fitz Roy River and on the south is the Túnel River. Continuing west, you reach the impressive Cerro Solo.
    Distance travelled: 18.8 km / 11.7 miles
    Duration: 9 hours
    Elevation gain: 1,132m (3,714 ft.)
    Terrain: some portions of the trail can be quite steep with loose rocks, boulders, and soil.
    This trail features a continuous ascent of approximately 1,100 meters (3,610 feet), culminating at a viewpoint around 1,500 meters (4,920 feet) above sea level. Due to its elevation, lack of tree cover, and full exposure to wind, a windproof jacket and warm clothing are essential. Even in mid-summer, light snowfall is not uncommon.
    Please take the following into account: The last 500 meters to the summit are very exposed to wind and cold, and the terrain is somewhat unstable. However, this is the point that offers the true 360-degree view. If we have an experienced group, they might discuss attempting the approach with the guide. I would recommend marking the viewpoint sign as the arrival point, where the views are absolutely panoramic and conditions are safe.
    This trek offers views of these mountains from their south/southeast side, a unique perspective compared to the typical east-side views. While most hikers head to Laguna Torre or Laguna de los Tres for mountain vistas, the views from here are truly unforgettable.

Day 4: El Chaltén. Enjoy a full-day guided hike to Laguna de los Tres and if the weather cooperates, a clear view of the Fitz Roy peaks. En route, take in the gradual changes in terrain from tree covered trails to exposed alpine landscapes.

  • Los Glaciares National Park Guided Hike: Enjoy a full day of hiking in Los Glaciares National Park. See granite pinnacles spiraling upward from the third largest ice field on earth. Hike to Laguna de los Tres to fully appreciate majestic Cerro Fitz Roy/Chaltén (3,441m/11,290 ft) – one of the most famous and popular viewpoints of the mountain.
    Distance travelled: 24km/15 miles.
    Duration: 10 hours.
    Elevation gain: 1040m (3412 ft.)
    Terrain: some portions of the trail can be quite steep with lose rocks, boulders, and soil.

Day 5: El Chaltén/El Calafate. Explore one of El Chalten's many trekking routes. Opt to explore the Laguna Torre trail to spot the dramatic Cerro Torre, hike to Chorrillo del Salto Waterfall, or head up to the Condor Mirador to enjoy great views of the town. Afterwards, head to the quaint little town of El Calafate, and opt for a hearty dinner to refuel.

Opt to take a boat ride on the lake to get a different view of the stunning landscape and marvel at how large the glacier is up close. Explore the different metallic walkways that will bring you directly to a spectacular view over the glacier and be amazed by every angle.

  • Perito Moreno Glacier Tour: Get out there and explore the natural wonder that is the Perito Moreno Glacier, one of the world's few "advancing" glaciers. Head to the southern end of Los Glaciares National Park, where Moreno's 60m (197 ft) wall of ice sporadically chokes off the narrow "Canal de los Tempanos" (Iceberg Channel) creating a natural ice dam, which eventually explodes in a dynamic display of force. Please note this tour does not include walking on top of the glacier.

Day 7: El Calafate. Enjoy free time, take a leisurely hike to Laguna Nimez, explore the souvenir shops and restaurants in town, choose to experience a full-day ranch experience, or opt to go on an adventure activity in the Patagonian landscape.

Do you want to improve your Spanish language ability when you arrive in Buenos Aires? This crash-course is ideal for volunteers who want to learn the basics in Argentina during their first week of volunteering, with 1 hour classes everyday from Monday to Friday.

These lessons are highly recommended to help settle any language barriers or culture shock you can face when arriving in Argentina.

The lesson content is created and delivered by qualified teachers who specialise in teaching Spanish as a second language. Their extensive expertise, both online and in the classroom, ensures you receive top-notch instruction. Beyond language proficiency, our comprehensive online Spanish course equips you with a rich vocabulary and essential tools to prepare for your volunteer project.

Past volunteers feel that taking these lessons help immensely with day-to-day volunteer work and in fostering meaningful connections with the local community. The language lessons are tailored to each volunteer’s current level of Spanish and classes run from Monday through to Friday. The cost is very affordable and offered exclusively to IVHQ volunteers.

As you complete each week, we celebrate your achievements with a Certificate of Completion, and if desired, you can request a formal final assessment to further showcase your accomplishments. 

If you have an intermediate or advanced level of Spanish, and would like to take additional classes while in Buenos Aires, our local team can assist you in arranging classes at a nearby Spanish language school.
