If you plan on arriving early or departing a few days after your program has finished, IVHQ makes it easy to be flexible with your arrival and departure dates by offering extra nights of accommodation that you can pre-arrange before you depart. 

Please note if you are planning to arrive outside of Sunday, your program fee does not cover your airport pick up and you will need to make your own way to the program location or add a private transfer to your itinerary.

For couples, families, retirees, or volunteers wanting more comfort, a private room with an ensuite.

The price of the upgrade is per room so if you plan on sharing this with another volunteer, just one of you will need to add it to your itinerary and then note the name of the other person you'll be sharing the private room with. The price for one room covers up to 2 people max.

Monday
● Welcome meeting: Introduction to the program, house rules, health & safety, and document handling.
● Khmer culture and language lessons: Learn about local customs, do's and don'ts.
● Tour the local area to familiarize yourself with shops and amenities.
● Explore the Old Market, supermarket, and bank, and get a local SIM card if needed.
● Visit Wat Preah Prom Rath and Wat Thmey (small pagoda).
● Evening adventure at Pub Street and the lively night market.

Tuesday
● Bicycle tour through the village to explore the local lifestyle.
● Continue your village cycling tour, immersing yourself in the local community.
● Enjoy a fun BBQ night at the center, featuring traditional Cambodian dishes.

Wednesday
● Participate in a hands-on Khmer cooking class, learning to prepare authentic dishes.
● Engage in a Khmer language lesson to practice speaking and understanding basic phrases.

Thursday
● Take part in a food offering to monks at a local temple, experiencing a Cambodian tradition.
● Visit Phnom Krom for stunning panoramic views near Tonle Sap Lake.

Friday
● Participate in traditional art & craft activity

● Project meeting & orientation to discuss the upcoming activities and project goals.

Want your airport drop off organized for you for the end of your IVHQ Cambodia trip? We can book an airport transfer for you from your volunteer accommodation back to Siem Reap at an affordable price. 

Without knowing what the right price is to pay in Cambodia for an airport transfer, you can easily get overcharged, or spend a long time trying to haggle a decent price. Enjoy a stress free ride back to the airport arranged by our local team. 

You’ll be picked up from your volunteer accommodation at your chosen time, and driven directly to Cambodia International Airport with plenty of time for your flight. Transfers to other destinations can also be arranged if you are heading somewhere else. 

If booking with another person, only one person needs to buy this transfer and please contact your Program Manager to inform who the other volunteer is.

If you arrive early (outside of Sunday before your program begins), your airport pick up is not included in your program fee. In this case, you can either make your own way to the program or book this add-on so the local team can organize your airport pick-up.
