International Volunteer HQ (IVHQ) has our video competition up and running on the website! All IVHQ volunteers (current and past) are encouraged to enter one of your videos from your IVHQ volunteer trip abroad by uploading your video below.

Although there is no limit on the number of videos you can enter, volunteers are advised to enter only one to enhance your chances of getting the most monthly votes (entering more than one video dilutes your chances of winning as votes may be shared between several of your videos). We also advise all entrants to post videos from your trip on the IVHQ Facebook group page to help raise awareness of your video for the competition and to show future volunteers some of your IVHQ experience.

Once you have your video uploaded to the site and it has been approved, spread the message to all your friends and family family (via Twitter, Facebook or email using the funky little buttons next to the voting button) and get them to come to the site, vote for your video and then get them to tell their friends to vote! Each month, the person with the highest number of votes for one video wins US$100. That’s not all - each monthly winner is eligible for the overall 2012 judged video competition (judged by the IVHQ team)! 1st prize wins US$500, 2nd prize wins US$250 and 3rd prize wins US$150!

Finally, there is an annual voting competition too! Even if you don’t get the most number of votes that month, you have the rest of the year to get family, friends, friends of friends... whoever, to vote for you. Overall 2012 voted video competition 1st prize wins US$500, 2nd prize wins US$250 and 3rd prize wins US$150!

• Accepted formats are: mov, avi, mp4, mpa, mpe, mpg, mpeg, qt, wmv
• Please ensure you only use media you have copyright permission for, do you not use any copyrighted music or video
• All videos will be uploaded into the IVHQ YouTube Channel
