International Volunteer HQ (IVHQ) has our photo competition up and running on the website! All IVHQ volunteers (current and past) are encouraged to enter one of your photos from your IVHQ volunteer trip abroad by uploading your photo below.
Although there is no limit on the number of photos you can enter, volunteers are advised to enter only one to enhance your chances of getting the most monthly votes (entering more than one photo dilutes your chances of winning as votes may be shared between several of your photos). We also advise all entrants to post photos from your trip on the IVHQ Facebook group page to help raise awareness of your photo for the competition and to show future volunteers pictures from your experience.
Once you have your photo uploaded to the site and it has been approved, spread the message to all your friends and family (via Twitter, Facebook or email using the funky little buttons next to the voting button) and get them to come to the site, vote for your photo and then get them to tell their friends to vote! Each month, the person with the highest number of votes for one photo wins US$100. That’s not all - each monthly winner is eligible for the overall 2012 judged photo competition (judged by the IVHQ team)! 1st prize wins US$500, 2nd prize wins US$250 and 3rd prize wins US$150!
Finally, there is an annual voting competition too! Even if you don’t get the most number of votes that month, you have the rest of the year to get family, friends, friends of friends... whoever, to vote for you. Overall 2012 voted photo competition 1st prize wins US$500, 2nd prize wins US$250 and 3rd prize wins US$150!

Terms and conditions of competition
- Entrants must have previously participated (or be participating) on an IVHQ volunteer trip abroad
- IVHQ reserves the right to remove any entries it feels are unfit or inappropriate for the competition
- Voting is monitored and any entries with automated votes from the same IP address may be disqualified from the competition
- Highest number of votes in each calendar month will win the monthly prize of US$100 (1st place only). In the event of a draw, the prize will be shared between winners.
-Highest number of total votes in each calendar year will win prizes of US$250 (1st prize), US$150 (2nd prize) and US$50 (3rd prize).
-Monthly photo competition winners will be eligible for the overall annual prizes (to be judged by a panel of judges from IVHQ) of US$250 (1st prize), US$150 (2nd prize) and US$50 (3rd prize).
-All prizes will be paid via PayPal
