Spring Break Volunteering 2012!

As our Executive Director and IVHQ volunteers in Brazil wrap up their week celebrating the internationally renowned Carnaval festival, we look ahead to the upcoming volunteer opportunities abroad during the annual Spring Break vacations of our American and Canadian volunteers.

March, April and May hold host to the annual Spring Break in which volunteers in Canada and America have 1 or 2 weeks’ vacation during their school semester or term, and can take the opportunity to assist in local communities or volunteer abroad on an international scale. Many choose to volunteer abroad and experience volunteering while also learning about a new culture, and we have both individual and groups of students volunteering abroad with International Volunteer HQ over the next few months.

For those that have a Spring Break coming up, and wish to volunteer and give back to the wider global community, we would love to have you volunteer with us and it is not too late to apply online for our March, April and May programs!

Program start dates vary depending on the volunteer location, but we are sure to have a program to suit your availability and interests, with opportunities available to teach English in Asia, volunteer with children in Africa, and also Medical volunteering opportunities, Conservation volunteering with wildlife and jungle forests and many Construction volunteer projects.

Even for those who do not have the time to volunteer in these next few months, we are also looking ahead to the northern hemisphere summer vacations, and are already accepting volunteers for our June, July and August volunteer experiences in Asia, Africa, Central and South America.

It is not too late to apply online and we look forward to receiving your application to volunteer abroad in 2012!
