Development for a New Generation (D4NG)

International Volunteer HQ has recently been in contact with Development for a New Generation (D4NG) looking to work together and collaborate on future projects. Development for a New Generation (D4NG) is a new project, sponsored by the Global Development Institute at the University of the Fraser Valley (UFV), designed to increase awareness and understanding regarding Canada's approach to sustainable international development. The project seeks to encourage youth aged 13-18 in the Fraser Valley region of British Columbia to become engaged in projects which improve the health, education and overall social conditions in developing nations.

D4NG is based on the idea that youth in both developing and developed countries can work together to help achieve the Millennium Development Goals which have special relevance to children and youth specifically, achieving universal primary education and reducing child mortality. By focusing on these goals we hope to convey to participating youth the significance of the Convention of the Rights of the Child, which was adopted 20 years ago. Be sure to check out the D4NG website (especially volunteers from British Columbia in Canada) and see how you can involved.
