The Art of Volunteering

"We painted a mural in school today shunning war and violence, spreading love and peace. Paint was flying everywhere, on people, walls and in the air. The colours were beautiful. If only soldiers had paint in their hands instead of ammunition."

Mariam Magsi (quoted above) has recently returned from volunteering in Mexico on our Teaching program and has captured this footage to offer a colourful insight into her experience.

"We felt needed, appreciated and wanted. The kids cried on our last day so I know we made a difference in their lives, both emotionally and educationally."

- Mariam Magsi (Teaching, Mexico).
