Mr. Phuong – Vietnam Program Coordinator
Mr. Phuong is the head of the International Volunteer HQ program in Vietnam. In conjunction with the other IVHQ Vietnam director - Mr. Cuong, he runs a team of over 50 staff in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. Mr. Phuong has a Master of Public Administration, a BA in English Language and a BSc in Mathematics. Before working with IVHQ in Vietnam, Mr. Phuong was a lecturer at Hanoi National University. He has also worked for several international organizations in Vietnam in different fields including agro-forestry, rural development, hunger elimination and poverty reduction, children and education, public health and the environment. In addition to his work with IVHQ, he acts as an interpreter/translator, a freelance consultant in project development, and a real estate dealer (a very busy man!).
Mr. Phuong has a young family with two children (a son and a daughter), he enjoys playing cards and fishing and is an avid traveler, having visited over 20 different countries as part of his work. He enjoys meeting people of different backgrounds and looks forward to having you on our program in Vietnam soon!
