Private San Jose Ambulance Service
This healthcare project is a private ambulance service located in San Jose. This service transports patients to and from their houses and hospitals. The ambulance is also involved in emergency calls. Volunteers are involved in all daily activities. The level of involvement in this project depends on the field situation as the coordinators cannot guarantee how busy the service will be, nor what activities volunteers will be involved in on a day-to-day basis. 1-3 volunteers generally work at this project. If this service is quiet, volunteers allocated to it will be rotated to a project that is busier. NB This is only an example placement which is one of many offered by IVHQ in Costa Rica and not necessarily the one you will be working at.
