Kenya Staff Profile

Cleopus Kioko

Cleopus Kioko is 27 years old and has been working with IVHQ since its inception in early 2007. Like many young people, after High school Cleo was not sure what he wanted to do in life. However, he always had the passion and the drive to work with young people in an organisation that helps and has good ethical goals and principles. When the opportunity came up to work in a volunteering organisation dealing with international volunteers, he jumped at it. Cleo has a certificate in counselling and also a certificate in Audio production.

Cleopus works in general office administration (answering registered volunteers emails here in Kenya), organizing volunteer placements and accommodation, ensuring those volunteers are comfortable with their placements and accommodation and preparing orientation material. Cleo also has the extremely important job of making sure airport pickups are organised and volunteers are not missed on arrival.

In his spare time Cleo likes listening to music, performing rap, busking and performing charitable concerts to raise funds for orphanages, travelling within Kenya to visit our placements and interacting and learning from International volunteers. Cleo is a valued member of the IVHQ team in Kenya and looks forward to meeting you when you get here. KARIBU KENYA!
