Sahil Sabharwal
Sahil has been working as a volunteer coordinator in India for two years now. At 24 years old Sahil has attended Delhi University and achieved a Bachelor of Commerce with honours before becoming a volunteer coordinator in New Delhi. In addition to his current qualification and job working with International Volunteer HQ in New Delhi, Sahil is also studying part time towards his CMA (Cost and Management Accountant) degree.
Sahil lives in South Delhi close to the volunteer office (22kms) yet due to the hectic and infamous New Delhi traffic it always takes him at least an hour to get to work. Sahil spends the majority of his time in the Delhi office, processing registered volunteers, answering phone calls from upcoming volunteers, assigning project placements and fulfilling general office and administrative duties for which he is more than qualified with his BCom (Hons). While “hands on” volunteer duties are generally carried out by other IVHQ India staff, Sahil also enjoys getting out of the office and meeting the new volunteers at orientation, visiting them in their placements and making friends from around the world.
In his spare time Sahil enjoys travelling, reading, cricket, eating (India culinary is some of the best in the world and a big attraction for many volunteers) and surfing the net. Sahil looks forward to meeting you and communicating with you before you arrive in India and once you get there.
